Protecting our beautiful earth

We're just a few miles south of the LBJ Grasslands, a 20,000 acre federal preserve that sets the tone for the softly rolling hills and open vistas of the North Central region of Texas.

Feel free to join our friendly staff in the garden

The conference center area encompasses about 32 acres, while the remaining land supports Longhorn cattle, 1,500 native pecan trees, a 23-acre wildlife preserve, two fishing ponds, miles of walking routes, hayfields, and of course, Garrett Creek!

Several components of the Ranch operations are open to guest participation. Walk among the huge longhorn or meander in the shaded pecan grove; fish with an old-fashioned cane pole (one guest caught a 10-pound crappie!), or bring your own rod and reel—we'll supply the bait. Down the hill from the main lodge porch you'll find our seasonal garden, so feel free to join the harvest! Plan a hayride to the campfire area and sing along with a real guitar-strumming cowboy! Even if you do nothing but sit back in a rocking chair on one of our many open porches and simply enjoy the huge Texas sky, the ranch is a beautiful place to think.
